our love and congratulations goes out to chelsey and burke ... their baby girl was born today!!! dave was in class for the most part of today, so i manned both our cell phones, eagerly awaiting any news. wally called around 2:30 pm our thursday, so we are thinking she would have been born late evening your wednesday. regardless! we are so excited for them and cannot wait to see this beautiful babe!
... now i'm thinking anything hereafter is SO hum-drum ... and in fact, i think i can hear you all yawning ... or wait! ... is it that you are reaching for the mouse to exit out?!!!
we had our first taste of a TIS Christmas concert, put on by the secondary school. was actually really good, although the crowd was rather noisy (are you surprised by this?!). the young girl serving as emcee for the evening did a superb job, we were impressed with her poise and she certainly was not afraid to address the crowd "to please stop talking during the performance" and "just sit down and enjoy what TIS has to offer"! she had quite a few more good lines but they fail to come to mind. and, yes, we too have rock bands, and not one but two - now this was funny. the emcee suggested if anyone in the audience had little children that perhaps they should go outside for 5 minutes while the bands played - she said that we would know what she meant once they started playing. oh yes, i am sure hong kong heard them. don't know what they were singing (and their english is very good), but definitely knew they had a drummer and oh yes, a lead guitarist as well! are we really getting that old already?!!!
i guess it would be prudent of me to quit whilst i am ahead - i am ahead aren't i?!!! we have a busy weekend so hopefully there will be some stories to tell. talk to you all again - and to chelsey and burke - CONGRATULATIONS !!!
