WWF Moves To Macau ...!

we were waiting for the bus this past monday, along with a fellow teacher and her grandaughter. their bus came and as they stopped down off the curb - ALL OF A SUDDEN - there was this huge mob of people absolutely stampeding to the bus. i have NEVER EVER seen this before in macau, but we usually are on an earlier bus. regardless, there were people fighting and pushing - people lying on the street, one fellow smashed his head on the side of the bus - QUITE UNBELIEVABLEE REALLY to watch. i stood back in shock, wanting to scream "STOP!". i still can't believe it! when talking with the girls at work the next day, apparently it is all the migrant workers that come from, yes, once again, "the mainland" a.k.a. "those chinese people", to work in construction on the casinos.

Sat, Dec 1
Yvonne had booked a hair cut, colour, etc on Saturday. As a result, I had several hours to amuse myself in Macao. Since it was the first of December, I went looking for a Christmas tree and some decorations. All we have now is our moose nativity set, our quilted wall hanging nativity, and a poinsettia. It took a while and a few miles, but I was able to find a tree that would 'fit in the apartment'. I bought some decorations and when we got home in the afternoon, put 'Thistle Hair the Christmas Bear' on the computer, cranked the volume up and decorated the tree. Here are a couple of shots from the afternoon.
